What we process

Your event calculations run entirely in your browser. The plan itself — your drink choices, quantities, cocktail menu and shopping list — is never sent to any server and is not stored beyond your session. The Excel file is built on your device too. The one exception is the summary email described below: to write that message, our server recalculates your plan from the settings you send it, and the message carries only the free summary.

Analytics

We use PostHog (EU servers) to count page views and a handful of product events, such as starting a calculation or opening the unlock dialog. It sets no cookies: nothing is written to your device for it. Once you buy or sign in, those events are tagged with a stable pseudonymous id derived from your customer record, so we can see which parts of the tool led someone to pay. It is not your email and it means nothing outside our analytics, but it does connect your visits to each other; before you buy we use nothing that connects them. Some events carry a little context so we can see what people plan for, such as the guest count, the bar type and which cocktails were picked from our catalogue. None of them carries your finished plan, the names of cocktails you write yourself, or anything you write in your own words.

Advertising is not active on this site. If it is switched on (for example Google AdSense), the providers may set cookies subject to your consent, and they will be listed here before that happens.

"Email me this list"

You can ask for your free summary by email. To send it, we pass your address and the event settings your summary is built from to Brevo, our email provider, which processes them on our behalf as a data processor. Those settings are everything you entered in the calculator, the Pro options included; the cocktail names you write yourself are stripped before anything leaves your browser. The settings are used once, to build that one message on our server; the address is used once, to deliver it. Neither is added to any marketing list unless you tick the optional tips box.

If you tick that box, we store your address in a Brevo contact list together with the page you wrote it on, your event type, your guest count and the time of consent, and we may send you occasional event-bar planning emails. Each of those carries an unsubscribe link that removes you from the list; the one-off summary email does not need one because it is the message you asked for. You can also ask us to delete your address at any time using the contact below.

Session cookie and sign-in

When you buy or sign in, we set one strictly necessary cookie (__Host-pourbrief_session) that lasts up to a year and cannot be read by scripts on the page. It only recognizes your purchase; it does not track you across other sites and needs no consent banner because the service cannot unlock your access without it. Sign-in codes are sent to you by email through Brevo and stored, hashed, alongside your email address by our payment processor Stripe. Your browser also keeps a small local cache of your access status for up to 24 hours, so the app still works during a brief outage on our end.

Payments

Payment for PourBrief Pro and the Event Pass is handled by Stripe on their own checkout page. We never see or store your card details; Stripe processes the payment and tells us only whether the session was paid. Your unlocked access follows the email you paid with: our server checks your purchase with Stripe when you visit, and nothing about your entitlement is stored on our side. Stripe's own privacy policy covers the data you enter on their page.

There is no password account. Signing in means confirming your email with a one-time code, as described in the section above; we hold no profile beyond what Stripe keeps for your purchase.

Legal bases, retention and your rights

Each of the things above rests on a different permission in law. Your purchase and your access rest on our contract with you: without them we cannot give you what you paid for. The invoice behind that purchase rests on a legal obligation, which is why it outlives everything else here. The tips list rests on your consent, and you decide when to take it back. The analytics rest on our legitimate interest in knowing which pages are worth keeping, weighed against how little each event carries.

How long each one lasts. The summary email is used once and not kept beyond sending it. An address on the tips list stays until you unsubscribe, and in any case no longer than three years after we last heard from you. Sign-in codes expire in ten minutes. Purchases and the invoices that go with them are kept for six years, the period Spanish commercial law sets for business records.

Four companies handle data for us, each under a contract that limits them to what we ask. Vercel hosts the site and runs the small server functions behind it, so every request passes through them. Brevo sends our email from France. PostHog counts page views on European servers. Stripe takes the payment. Vercel and Stripe are based in the United States, and where your data reaches them there, the transfer relies on the safeguards the European Commission has approved for that purpose. Apart from PostHog's analytics script, everything the site loads comes from our own domain, fonts included. We do not sell any of it.

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit what we do with it, take it elsewhere in a portable form, or object to it. Where we rely on your consent you can withdraw it, which stops what comes next without undoing what came before. Write to info@greenjaribiza.com and we answer within a month.

Giving us your email is always your choice. If you would rather not, the calculator still works and the free summary is still on screen; the only thing you miss is the copy in your inbox.

Nothing about you is decided automatically. There is no automated decision-making here that produces legal effects for you or similarly affects you; the calculator does arithmetic on the event you describe, and that is all.

If you think we handled your data badly, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es), or to the authority of the country you live in.

What your browser stores

Besides the session cookie above, the site keeps a few things in your own browser. They stay on your device and we cannot reach in and read them; the only way one of them travels is if you send it yourself, as your unit choice does when you ask for the summary by email. None of them needs a consent banner: each one is either something you asked for or something the tool cannot work without.

pourbrief_units: whether you read the plan in metric or US units, so your choice survives the next visit.

pourbrief_events: the events you saved, kept as the settings you entered and never as the results. They live in this browser only, and the Delete button next to each one removes it.

pourbrief_lang_hint: a note that you closed the language bar, so it does not ask you again.

pourbrief_resume: a snapshot of your wizard taken just before you leave for Stripe, so you come back to the plan you were building. It is deleted the moment you return.

pourbrief_access_cache: the last answer we got about your access, kept for 24 hours so a short outage on our side does not lock you out of what you paid for.

pourbrief_currency: the currency you chose to see prices in, when you picked one instead of the currency your location suggests. It never leaves your browser.

Clearing site data for pourbrief.com in your browser settings wipes all of it. That also signs you out and forgets your saved events.
