From menu to shopping list

Say your event needs 300 cocktail serves across three drinks. The calculator splits the serves (evenly, or by percentages you set), multiplies out every recipe, and then does the part spreadsheets get wrong: it merges shared ingredients. If the Margarita takes 3 litres (about 4 qt) of lime juice and the Daiquiri 2 (about 3 qt), you get one "Lime juice" line with the fresh-produce waste buffer already in it, 5.5 L in metric or about 6 qt in US units. The cocktail tequila folds into the tequila for your mixed drinks, the Mojito soda into your soda cases. Everything is counted exactly once.

Frequently asked questions

How many cocktails can I make from one bottle?

With a standard 50 ml pour, a 700 ml bottle yields about 14 serves and a 1 L bottle about 20. Recipes built on 45–60 ml of base spirit yield slightly fewer.

How many cocktails should I plan per guest?

It depends on how much of the bar is cocktails. On a cocktail bar they are about 80% of everything served, on a cocktail-heavy menu around 90%. On a mixed bar the share drops and spirits with mixers take over. Pick your bar type and the calculator sets the split.

Does it list the ingredients or only the spirits?

Every ingredient in every recipe, merged across the menu and converted into what you actually buy, with a waste buffer on fresh produce. Limes, syrups, juices and garnishes land in the same shopping list as the bottles.

Can I add my own signature cocktail?

Yes. Add a custom recipe with any ingredients and amounts. Ingredients the engine already knows (lime, agave, tequila and the rest) merge with the same items from the other drinks, so nothing gets counted twice.
